This new PLC from ABB has been out for about 6 month already, but it is still new to most of our viewers. We think this PLC has the potential to lower your equipment cost and overhead.
ABB's PLC software is a one time fee. That's right no renewals or contracts like the competition. Also one instruction set for every PLC in the AC500 family. That save you time when you switch between the low cost PLC and the higher end product.

ABB Latest Drive Products
ABB Has given us a glimpse of what is in the drive pipeline for 2011-2012. The new ACS580 and ACS880 drives were shown at Automation & Power World 2011 in Orlando.
The video below will show you what they look like and the new keypad or "Control Panel" design.
We like the new keypad with a USB port built in. Also the ACS880 will have the option of CoDeSys programming for a full PLC instruction set. We were also told that the ACS580 and ACS880 will have the same parameter table layout as the ACS850.
